Marell-Stork Poultry Processing Inc.

GA plant, they were transitioning from a very hierarchical structure to a more horizontal one. Since then, Stork Food Systems was acquired by Marel in 2008. The acquisition included Stork PMT (In Holland, Europe) and Stork Gamco (in Gainsville, GA), which have been among the most reputable brands in the poultry processing industry for years, renowned for innovation and quality. Because of the many changes needed in a merger, the international nature of the company, and the difficulty many engineering types have with interpersonal communication, I was asked to provide training in dialogue and communication to the top management team first. As they saw their own team developing more trust, becoming more effective in their business communications, and more efficient in their decision making processes, as well as in their communication with other members of the international team, they decided to extend the training further inside the company, to include managers, supervisors, and others.
